Trying to match the composite shots for the "hard shot" has lead to a lot of grief, so I re-shot with every element on a different layer (I got the idea from The Wachowski's
Speed Racer, which I did a report on last semester in history of animation.). The new layers are much easier to manipulate and I don't have to worry about perfectly matching the edge of the desk, or anything being off in color, because the entire background, the goose and myself are on independent layers.
The Background is a high resolution still. I went with a Kubrick style single point perspective, but I have many angles, if I decide to change my mind.
The foreground was done with the retro-reflective green-screen. It worked very well because I could pull the camera back and reduce the shadow outline with minimal noise.
And I am still reanimating the goose for this shot... It has not been easy.
